In this moment, we are looking for a:

SENIOR LAN SECURITY ENGINEER

for a European Institution in Brussels.

The Senior Lan Security Specialist will be responsible to advise on network security strategies, design, integration, deployment, daily management and debugging of Local Area Network security solutions.

Tasks:

  • Administration of firewall systems, content inspection, firewall statistics and related security tools
  • Networking security services in Microsoft environments
  • Strong authentication solutions (multi-factor authentication, token-based, SMS one time password, etc.)
  • VPN and encryption systems
  • Administration of Web Filtering Solutions
  • Drafting of network related documentation (Plans, schemas, manuals, reports, etc.)
  • Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS)
  • WAN technologies (IP switching, satellite communication, ADSL)
  • Networking and network security solutions in virtual server environments
  • Virtual network security solutions (i.e. virtualisation of network security devices such as virtual firewalls)
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions
  • Wireless network technologies (in particular WLAN Wi-Fi)
  • IP Telephony solutions and related network security-related solutions
  • Server load balancing and redundancy solutions
  • Proxy solutions
  • PKI infrastructures

Profile

The ideal candidate have around 10 years of experience working in networking, and have some/most of the following certifications/experience:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
  • Blue Coat Security Certification (Blue Coat proxySG)
  • Juniper Networks Certified Specialist FWV (JNCIS-FWV)
  • ITIL
  • TCP/IP Suite (SNMP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, QoS, …)
  • SSL (offload/acceleration, interception, VPN)
  • Related educational background

Languages: Fluent in English, with knowledge in French
